Members should be aware that weights taken at the time of carcass ultrasound data collection are not automatically used as yearling weights. If a breeder wants the ultrasound weights to be used for yearling data, please notify a staff member.

Ultrasound barnsheets maybe be generated and printed from the Member Site on the NALF-DigitalBeef platform. Use these instructions to print barnsheets.


The next issue of LIMOUSIN TODAY is the annual Herd Sire Edition. This is a great time for breeders to promote their herd sires to generate interest in them and their progeny, plus semen sales.

Carter Hoge, Good Hope, Ill., exhibited the supreme grand champion breeding female at the 2017 Illinois Beef Expo. CJSL 6096D ET is a March 1, 2016, 50% Lim-Flex heifer sired by S A V Bismarck 5682 and was first named grand champion Limousin/Lim-Flex heifer. The heifer was bred by Linhart Limousin, Leon, Iowa. The award is sponsored by Wahl Clipper Corporation. The Illinois Beef Expo junior show was held February 25-26 in Springfield, Ill.
