What's NEW?

The Sheep Festival crew have had a busy past few weeks with fundraising, chatting to new volunteers and planning next year's wonderful event.
We're thrilled to be welcoming back some familiar faces (hello, lovely people!), and if you're new (welcome!) and looking for somewhere to stay, you can click on these links for accommodation and travel information.
For an idea of what extras will be going on during the Festival, take a look at last Summer's schedule.
Christmas presents sorted yet?
With only *gasp* 36 days to go until Christmas Day, present-buying time is ticking away...
For a unique gift with a charitable core, why not peruse our new limited-edition line of Sheep Festival mugs?
With designs highlighting four of the island's most symbolic icons:
the Lighthouse, Standing Stone, the sheep themselves, and the Sheepdyke (this featured section re-built by 2016's Festival volunteers!) - you can pick your favourite or choose the full set through our
NEW Festival Shop

North Ronaldsay in the News
North Ronaldsay continues to make the news with one of the island's residents receiving a prize at the recent Pride of Britain Awards! It was great seeing some familiar island faces on the television, and a tv crew has been in touch about the possibility of coming up to film next Summer's Sheep Festival so watch this space...

Share the love
Last year's volunteers proved such a talented bunch (we hear several folk have been inspired to take up the ukulele!) that we'd love to hear about any skills and talents that you could bring to the Festival. Budding artist? Professional sheep clipper? Don't be shy, blow your trumpet!

Kate before and after her epic run
Fundraising success!
Festival Committee member Kate ran the distance of the Sheepdyke (13 miles) in a half-marathon in October, raising over £1,000 for the Sheep Festival.
Kate would like to say a HUGE thank you to all who sponsored her and helped her complete the course in 2hrs 8 mins - anyone fancy taking part in a Pier to Lighthouse 10k next Summer? Let us know
