We want to say thank you!

The 2nd Edition of the Ubumuntu Arts Festival was a great success that saw 18 participating countries converge at the Kigali Genocide Amphitheatre. Each and every performance was captivating, entertaining and thought provoking; shining a light on the importance of tailoring humanity into the arts.

The four days saw over 8,000 people from all walks of life attend. The last day of the festival was especially packed and saw Linda Thomas-Greenfield; who serves as the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs in the United States Department of State's Bureau of African Affairs grace the event as our guest of honor.

A big thank you goes out to our partners, sponsors, artists, directors, designers, technicians, journalists, volunteers; in short every helping hand and the amazing audience. Without you, Ubumuntu would l be possible!

We are human together.

Thank you!

Thank you

Ubumuntu arts festival

In this path travelled

Called a school of life

I gape and ponder

Search and wonder

With one question

How do I say Thank you?

To every hero on this path

I bow with humility

Belittled by sequent

Sigh and say...

To the artists who exalted

In artistic excellency

To the technicians who plagued

With precision

To the Media who blew trumpets

Like the beautiful vuvuzela sounds

To the sponsors who trusted us

The beautiful traffic-spontaneity rhythms

That synched "Behind the scenes"in a melodious panic

The blazing sun that barbecued us into delicious brochette-tans

The ever patient audience

To friends who flew to Rwanda

As part of this shared space

Humanity indeed calls

We are human together

Thousands of thanks

From a thousand hills

In this land

I call home

Rwanda.
