St. Patty's Day
Friday, March 17th

For a proper celebration, you will need Huck's corned beef, organic cabbage and cream soda! We also have a variety of local beers waiting for you in Room 22! Our corned beef is made in-house using Country Natural Beef's non-GMO verified beef and our own special blend of herbs & spices.
Did you know?
We eat corned beef on St. Patrick's Day because Ireland produces large amounts of corned beef, nearly all for trade. Corned beef was once a luxury in Ireland and considered too expensive for the Irish to consume. These days, it is readily available and associated with this Irish-American custom.
Why Huck's Meat?
Our butcher has over 30 years of experience. Need a cooking tip? Come in and see Mike in our Meat Department! He works hard to provide quality to our customers with the freshest, most flavorful and tender cuts of beef, chicken, pork, fish, lamb & assorted wild game.
Slow-Cooker Corned Beef & Cabbage
15 min prep, 9 hr cook time

Ingredients:
4 large carrots, peeled and cut into matchstick pieces
10 organic red potatoes, quartered
1 organic onion, peeled and quartered
4 cups water
6 ounces of beer
1/2 head organic cabbage, coarsely chopped
4 Lb. Huck's own corned beef brisket

Directions:
Place carrots, potatoes and onion into the bottom of a slow cooker with water. Place the corned beef on top of the vegetables. Pour the beer over and sprinkle with salt & pepper. Set slow cooker on high, cover and cook for 8 hours. Add cabbage and cook for 1 more hour on high.
Save the Bees!

YOU CAN HELP!
  • Plant native wildflowers in your yards and communities. Even small balcony gardens with hanging baskets or potted plants can help!
  • Keep part of your garden untidy - this allows room for wildlife.
  • Support smaller, local, organic farms. These farms support higher biodiversity and better bee health. Huckleberry's carries certified organic products and honey from local beekeepers!
