TEEN VOICES OF THE CITY ENSEMBLE (T-VOCE)
CALL FOR REGISTRATION!

(Please share with the Teens in Your Life)
Do you know a teen who:
  • Likes (or loves!) to sing
  • Wants to be part of an amazing community of young musicians
  • Wants to learn more about music and singing

Teen Voices of the City Ensemble, or T-VOCE (tee-VO-chay), is the place for them! Voce comes from the Italian word for voice—we want to hear TEEN singing voices, teen opinions, and anything else our teens have to say.

T-VOCE is open to all students, ages 13-19. You don’t need to have any musical experience; all you need is a love of singing! NO AUDITION—ALL are welcome, and participation is FREE! Registration is underway, and we hope the teen in your life will join us. They can register online HERE.

Rehearsals will be every Saturday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. from March 11th through May 27th in the music building at West Catholic High School, 4501 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. We'll also provide SEPTA tokens to help with subway transportation. There will be a performance at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts of the University of Pennsylvania on Thursday, May 18th at 12:30 p.m. Additional performances will be considered as opportunities become available.

Don’t forget, your teen doesn't need to have any musical training or background to join T-VOCE. We’ll turn them into a singing superstar! Questions about T-VOCE? Email Mike Bolton from Opera Philadelphia at outreach@operaphila.org or call 215-893-5927.

We’re super thankful to Play On, Philly! for providing the rehearsal space. Even more exciting is that if a teen is interested in taking a music class, Play On, Philly! can help with that, too. Just mention that on the registration form.

Brought to you by three great Philadelphia organizations, Art Sanctuary, Opera Philadelphia and Play on Philly!
