Bangarra Dance Theatre

Bangarra Dance Theatre, one of Australia's leading performing arts companies, will perform at the Fall For Dance Festival later this month. Tickets for the performance go on sale at 11am on Saturday 10 September.

Bangarra’s Artistic Director Stephen Page says the company is thrilled to be performing at Fall for Dance for the first time. “Presenting our artistry and storytelling on the world stage is a highlight of the year for us. Bangarra is a passionate cultural ambassador for Australia, with a distinct and profound voice. Our ability to connect with audiences without the limitations of language, enables us to share Indigenous history and grow artistic relationships between Australia and countries all over the world."

The tour is proudly supported by the Australian Government, through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Consulate events

This month the Consulate introduced Adelaide Fringe, Australia’s largest arts festival, to a group of American producers and curators. Guests heard about the Honey Pot program, a marketplace connecting artists with presenters, and were treated to a special performance by Festival favourite Adrienne Truscott (pictured).

The Consulate is also supporting Australian fashion designer Dion Lee (pictured below), who is launching SUIT, a new collection developed in partnership with Woolmark. Manufactured in Australia and Italy, SUIT is made from the finest Australian Merino wool and is the first collaboration in Lee and Woolmark’s ongoing partnership.
