Saturday, March 25, 11:00am-1:00pm (Sanctuary, Social Hall, Kitchen, Rooms 3, 4, 7)

Join families from across the Eugene/Springfield Community to discuss expanding sanctuary - in our cities, schools, houses of worship, and our homes. At this meeting we will orient ourselves to current events and the latest developments in the 45 regions and locally, and focus our resistance strategy on the three fronts we discussed at our first meeting: 1. Mass protest, 2. Political organizing, and 3. Building rebel cities. We will be learning about efforts to expand sanctuary across the country, particularly the sanctuary homes campaign, and what we can do together here in Eugene to protect targeted people. We will hear about the work of our youth and young adults to defend transgender people's rights in schools, and about efforts to respond to local hate groups that are becoming more vocal. We will be discussing upcoming mass actions and how we can participate as families, such as the April 29 Earth Day climate march and May 1st immigrant rights march. Resist Together! Join us and bring your friends and family. Childcare provided. Potluck lunch. Kid Friendly. Free Admission. Katy Siepert,, 541-686-2775x2.
