17IACC Day 1 Highlights
 
 
The 17th IACC got underway Thursday in Panama City, Panama. Read some of the highlights captured by the IACC Young Journalists team and comments from participants.

Yesterday's #PanamaPapers plenaries  

Read about the first-hand experiences of the journalists who uncovered the Panama Papers. 400 journalists from 18 countries came together to pour over the leaked documents. They left their egos behind and made the story the only star.

The B Team, Deloitte and Bank of Montreal launched ownershiptransparency.com, a new project that showcases the growing support and leadership by banks, companies and investors for beneficial ownership transparency – and provides an easy way to take action. Roughly eight minutes into Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela's opening speech, two participants conducted a demonstration demanding the release of Dutch journalist Okke Ornstein, who is charged with criminal libel. Read the full story here.
